Version 1.4.1 is out. Start the launcher and it updates automatically. Here is what changed since 1.4.0.
A scene for tolls that sell your shops
When a toll is more than you can pay and you have to sell shops, the game now says so with a scene of its own: a jingle plays, the camera moves to the player who pays, and their piece looks downcast. The music pauses for the scene and picks up where it left off.
- Turn it off on the Music tab of Settings (on by default)
Legacy Race (Modern): any number on one racer
Since "pick your prize", any number of players can back the same racer, but the race and the betting screens still showed "name +N" and a single piece. They now show every backer's piece and name (with three or more, the pieces and the names take a row each).
CPUs
- Corider-type CPUs hold back their own capital increases to ride someone else's area, but they also held back when there was nobody to ride, and could go a long time without investing. They now hold back only on turns they really ride
Easier with the mouse
- Moving: during a move, click the next square, or the arrow pointing at it, to step there. Click a square you can stop on with your roll to walk there automatically
- Chance cards: click one of the 8×8 cards to pick it, click it again to flip it
Screens and settings
- Settings > Display gains "Frame-rate limit" (none / 60 / 30). Lower it on a laptop if battery or heat is a concern
- The Account screen's buttons stand in two columns. "Redeem a code" is now "Enter a code"
Data upload: error reports
- Data upload gains "Error reports". When an error happens in the game, it sends the kind of error, where it happened (in the program and on which screen) and the version. The error's text and your folder names are never sent
- If you played before, the game asks once at start whether to send them. You can change it later under Data upload in Settings
- Match history details gain a second page (Up/Down), and the overall stats gain casino totals
Please note
The engine version changed, so 1.4.1 cannot play online with 1.4.0. Online play works between 1.4.1 games. Your saves still load.
