Casinos
Stop on a casino square and you play a minigame. There are twelve games. Before the match you decide which of them can come up, and whether each one plays its Modern or its Legacy prizes. This guide covers how casinos are picked, and how each game plays and pays.

The casino settings open from the Casino row of Rule settings (press R on the board list; → "Rule settings").
1. Casino squares and your level
- You play when you stop on a casino square (passing one does nothing)
- Each stop draws one game from the games that are switched on (how it is drawn: §2)
- Most prizes scale with your level — the number that goes up by one every time the bank pays your salary (→ "How to play"). The later in the match, the bigger the prizes
- Some games are played by the lander alone; in others everybody takes part, starting with the lander
- The only ways to lose money at a casino are the Roulette stake, the "minus" in a few games, and the 50G pull of the Legacy A slot
Switch every game off and a casino square simply pays level × 10G when you stop on it.
2. The Casino selection screen
Enter on the Casino row of Rule settings opens Casino selection.
| Row | What it does |
|---|---|
| The game rows (12) | Enter switches the game On or Off. ← → switches that game's rule (Modern / Legacy and so on) |
| Casino rules | Default / Legacy / Present / Modern — switches every game's rules at once |
| Style | Modern (follows Selection below) / Legacy (the slots and the other games take turns, either one first) |
| Selection | No repeats (never the same game twice running) / Repeats OK / In order |
| All on / All off / Rule details… | Switch everything on or off. Rule details… opens the screen that sets the last game row's rules one by one |
- The twelve games: Slots, High & Low, Roulette, Double-Up Scratch, Lucky Panel, Number 9, Wakuwaku Rope, Silver Tarot, Legacy Race, Modern Race, Treasure Hunt, Battle Colosseum
- To the right of each game row is a chip naming its current rule, and a "…" chip. "…" lets you set that game's rules one by one
- If you set one of a game's smaller rows (Lucky Panel's "2 pairs max at 5+ players", say) to something no preset uses, the chip reads Custom
- The Casino rules row changes the games' rules and the Style only. Which games are on, and Selection, stay as they are. When the set matches no preset the row reads "Casino rules (custom)"
- Selection is unused with one game or fewer and under the Legacy style (it is shown dim)
- A game that is switched off keeps its rule, and you can still change it
These are the same rows as the Rules row of Rule settings (the Elements screen); you can change them from either place (→ "Legacy and Modern").
3. Presets and the casino rules
Each preset on the Casino rules row (or on the Rules row of Rule settings) sets the games like this:
| Game | Default | Modern | Present | Legacy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Slot prizes | Present B | Present B | Present B | Legacy A |
| High & Low | Modern | Modern | Legacy | Legacy |
| Roulette (who joins) | Modern | Modern | Legacy | Legacy |
| Roulette dealer loss cap | On | On | Off | Off |
| Double-Up Scratch | Modern | Modern | Legacy | Legacy |
| Lucky Panel prizes and layout | Modern, Modern | Modern, Modern | Legacy, Legacy | Legacy, Legacy |
| Lucky Panel and Scratch 5+ rows | On | On | Off | Off |
| Number 9 | Modern | Modern | Legacy | Legacy |
| Wakuwaku Rope | Modern | Modern | Legacy | Legacy |
| Silver Tarot | Modern | Modern | Legacy | Legacy |
| Legacy Race | Modern | Modern | Legacy | Legacy |
| Modern Race | Modern | Modern | Legacy | Legacy |
| Treasure Hunt | Modern | Modern | Legacy | Legacy |
| Battle Colosseum reward | Legacy | Present | Present | Legacy |
| Style | Modern | Modern | Modern | Legacy |
- Default and Modern differ only in the Battle Colosseum reward
- Present and Legacy differ in three places: the slots, Battle Colosseum and the Style
- A new match starts on Default
- The "5+ rows" are three: Lucky Panel's 2 pairs max and minus cap, and the Scratch's minus cap (§4e, §4d). With four players or fewer they change nothing either way
4. How each game plays
In the tables below, "Modern" and "Legacy" are the two values of that game's rule row. Only what differs between them is listed.
4a. Slots
The lander plays alone. Stop the three reels one by one; any of the five lines (middle, top, bottom and the two diagonals) that lines up pays, once per line. The symbols are 777, Dokodemo Card, warp (to any square), stock and cherries (three, two or one from the left).
| Present B | Present A | Legacy C / B / A | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cherries (three / two / one) | level × 100 / 30 / 10G | the same | 200 / 100 / 50G |
| 777 | the same as your salary | level × 500G | 1,000G |
| Stock symbol | level × 5 shares of the priciest area, for every line | the same | 10 shares of the priciest area (once) |
- Legacy B and Legacy A add a capital symbol. Three in a line let you invest your own money in one of your shops (you may decline)
- Legacy A costs 50G per pull on a casino square. Without 50G in cash, there is no pull
- The reels themselves are the same under every prize table
4b. High & Low
The lander plays alone. A card is face up: guess whether the next one is higher or lower. Each correct guess doubles the pot — 20G → 40G → … → 1,280G — and you may stop and take it at any time. A wrong guess gets nothing. A tie replays the round at the same pot. At 7 correct guesses the game ends by itself with 1,280G.

Under Modern, taking the pot also gives you every item up to your number of correct guesses (a wrong guess still gets nothing).
| Correct guesses | Pot | Items added under Modern |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 80G | Happy hat (1G for every step) |
| 4 | 160G | Happy belt (another 1G for every step) |
| 5 | 320G | Lucky earring (+3% share) |
| 6 | 640G | 2 Dokodemo Cards |
| 7 (automatic) | 1,280G | Miracle necklace (your shops +2%) |
Stopping at 5, for example, gets you 320G plus the hat, belt and earring. Under Modern a table of the items is shown on the right of the screen. For what the accessories do, see §5.
4c. Roulette
The lander is the dealer; everybody else must place one bet. The stake is 10 × (the dealer's level + 4)G, paid to the dealer as the bet is placed. The wheel has 16 pockets: the numbers 0–12 and three crowns.
| Bet | Pays |
|---|---|
| Red, black, odd, even | 2 × the stake |
| 1–4, 5–8, 9–12 | 3 × the stake |
| A single number | 8 × the stake |
| A crown (red, black, green) | one Dokodemo Card (from the bank) |
- 0 and the green crown count as none of red, black, odd or even. The red crown counts as "red and even", the black crown as "black and odd"
- Winning bets are paid by the dealer
| Modern | Legacy | |
|---|---|---|
| Who has to bet | anyone whose cash + stock covers the stake (a cash shortfall is settled at the end of that player's turn) | anyone whose cash covers the stake |
With the dealer loss cap On, the dealer loses at most 21 stakes in one spin; anything beyond that is trimmed from the winners in proportion. A table of four or fewer can never reach the cap, so nothing changes there.
4d. Double-Up Scratch
The lander plays alone. There are three tiers of panels (3, 4 and 5 panels); you scratch one per tier. Each tier holds two winners. Winners are held, and between tiers you may stop and take what you hold. A blank loses everything held. Tier 3 also hides a holiday (your shops close) and a minus (you pay everyone else); either one takes effect and loses what you held. Win all three tiers and everything is paid.
| Modern | Legacy | |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 winners from | level × 15G, your shops +1.5%, 2% dividend, Half-price ticket | 10G, your shops +1%, 1% dividend |
| Tier 2 winners from | turn around, level × 30G, your shops +3%, 4% dividend, Free ticket | turn around, 100G, your shops +1%, 1% dividend |
| Tier 3 winners from | turn around, level × 60G, Dokodemo Card, 10 shares of the priciest area, 3% of your total assets | turn around, 100G, Dokodemo Card, 10 shares |
| The minus | level × 15G to each other player | 50G to each other player |
- Two of each list are the winners. A prize won in an earlier tier is not a winner again later; under Modern its whole kind is kept out of the later tiers (level × 15G and level × 30G are one kind, and so on)
- "x% dividend" pays x% of the value of your stock in cash. "Your shops +x%" raises the price of every shop you own
- Modern's "3% of your total assets" is only in the list when it would pay at least level × 60G
- Scratch minus (5+ players) (Capped / pays everyone): Capped means that with 5 or more players the minus pays three players' worth, split among everyone else
4e. Lucky Panel
Everybody plays, starting with the lander. Flip two of the 16 panels; a matching pair pays its prize and you flip again. No match, and it is the next player's turn. The panels are seven pairs plus a single minus and a single holiday. Those two take effect as soon as they are flipped, and end your turn. The game ends when everyone has had two turns, or when every panel is open.
| Modern | Legacy | |
|---|---|---|
| Minus | the flipper pays each other player 5 + level × 5G | 30G to each other player |
| Shop price | your shops +2% | +1% |
| Small cash | level × 10G | 1G |
| Dividend | 3% | 1% |
| Big cash | 25 + level × 25G | 50G |
Holiday, turn around, 10 shares of the priciest area and the Dokodemo Card are the same in both.
Lucky Panel has three more rows:
| Row | Values | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Lucky Panel layout | Modern / Legacy | Modern: nothing tells what a panel holds until it is flipped. Legacy: at the start the panels come up one by one in prize order, so a sharp eye can tell what is where (CPUs remember too, by strength) |
| Lucky Panel turns (5+ players) | 2 pairs max / no limit | 2 pairs max: with 5 or more players, one turn can match at most two pairs |
| Lucky Panel minus (5+ players) | Capped / pays everyone | Capped: with 5 or more players the minus pays three players' worth, split among everyone else |
4f. Number 9
The lander plays alone. Nine cells hide the digits 1–9; scratch three, and their sum decides the prize. You never lose anything.
| Sum | Modern | Legacy |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | 1 share of every area | the same |
| 7–9 | 1 share of the cheapest area | 1 share of the first area |
| 10–17 | 5 shares of a random area | 5 shares of the first area |
| 18–21 | 10 shares of the priciest area | 1 share of the last area |
| 22–23 | 5 shares of every area | the same |
| 24 | your salary (at least 1,250G) | warp to any square |
4g. Wakuwaku Rope
Everybody, starting with the lander, pulls one of the hanging ropes. There are five ropes (with 5 or more players, one more than the players), and each prize is paid at once. The prizes are dealt from: a shop (the cheapest one nobody owns), Double Dice (two dice on your next turn), small cash, big cash, a Dokodemo Card, a Free ticket, one of the Happy hat / belt / shoes (1G a step), and a blank.
| Modern | Legacy | |
|---|---|---|
| Small cash | level × 10G | 10G |
| Big cash | 25 + level × 25G | 100G |
| Lucky bracelet (+2% share) | joins the prizes | not there |
4h. Silver Tarot
The lander picks two face-down cards: first who (five cards), then what (eight cards).
| Who | Target |
|---|---|
| Wheel of Fortune | yourself |
| The Emperor | the richest player (total assets) |
| The Hanged Man | the poorest player |
| Judgement | one player at random (you included) |
| The World | everybody |
| What | Modern | Legacy |
|---|---|---|
| The Chariot | the highest roll on the next turn | the same |
| The Moon | a warp to a random square | the same |
| The Magician | shop fees +30% (until the end of the drawer's third turn) | +30% (until the target's next turn) |
| The Lovers / The Joker | Modern swaps the Lovers for the Joker: one Dokodemo Card | the Lovers: a Heart mark |
| Death | the target's shops −5%, and closed (until the end of the drawer's next turn) | the target's shops closed (until their next turn) |
| Strength | the target's shops +5% | a construction rush |
| The Star | a 50% share (20% each under the World), until the end of the drawer's next turn | a 20% share (until the target's next turn) |
| The Sun | each target's level × 30G | level × 10G |
4i. Legacy Race
Everybody predicts which horse will win.

- Legacy: each horse carries a multiplier (10–150), and a correct pick pays multiplier × your level G. The higher the multiplier, the less likely that horse wins. One player per horse (more horses join with more players)
- Modern (pick a prize): always 6 horses, every one equally likely to win, and you may pick a horse someone else picked. Each horse carries one prize, shown as a picture on the prediction screen
| Modern horse's prize | Picked the winner | Your horse came 2nd–3rd (the smaller form) |
|---|---|---|
| Cash | 75 + level × 25G | 35 + level × 15G |
| Dokodemo Card | one Dokodemo Card | one missing mark (35 + level × 15G if you hold all four) |
| Shop | the cheapest shop nobody owns (if none, your shops +5%) | your shops +2% (35 + level × 15G if you own none) |
| Double Dice | Double Dice + 50G | Double Dice |
| Free ticket | a Free ticket | a Half-price ticket |
| Stock | 5 shares of the priciest area | 2 shares of the priciest area |
With 7 or more players, 4th place pays the smaller form too.
4j. Modern Race
Everybody predicts which lane will win (one player per lane; five lanes, more with more players). Every lane is equally likely to win. Each lane holds chests. The money in every chest a lane's runner opens goes to whoever picked that lane, win or lose. Some chests are jack-in-the-boxes that stop the runner, and one holds a speed boost.
| Modern | Legacy | |
|---|---|---|
| Picking the winner | level × 100G (at any lane count) | level × 20G × the number of lanes |
| One chest | 10 + level × 5G | 20G |
With four players or fewer (five lanes) the winner gets level × 100G either way. The difference is in the chests, and at bigger tables.
4k. Treasure Hunt
The lander walks around a house alone, looking for treasure. The house has 12 places to search, and 3 of them hide a treasure. You get 3 searches. The first treasure you find is yours and ends the game; three misses get nothing.

| Modern | Legacy | |
|---|---|---|
| Treasures from | Dokodemo Card, level × 60G, the Happy outfit (3G a step; the Happy hat, 1G, at level 2 or below), the Power seed, the Lucky ring, the Miracle anklet | Dokodemo Card, level × 60G, level × 20G |
- The Power seed raises one shop of your choice by 20% after the casino. It is not in the list when you own no shop whose price can rise
- For the ring and the anklet, see §5
4l. Battle Colosseum
The lander becomes the challenger, and their own piece, enlarged, stands in the arena as the monster. Its HP is a roll of dice plus a bonus from the challenger's rank. Everybody else attacks, rolling two dice once each and dealing the sum (doubles deal twice that). Take the HP to 0 and the attackers win; if the monster stands, the challenger wins.
- Nobody's money goes down. Every player on the winning side gets level × 50G
- In team play, the challenger's teammates stand on the challenger's side
| Present | Legacy | |
|---|---|---|
| Extra for a winning challenger | 10 shares of the priciest area | one Dokodemo Card |
5. Items and accessories
The casino prizes that stay with you:
| Item | Where from | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Happy hat | High & Low (3), Wakuwaku Rope, Treasure Hunt | 1G for every step you walk from now on. Any number stack |
| Happy belt, Happy shoes | High & Low (4), Wakuwaku Rope | like the hat, 1G a step |
| Happy outfit | Treasure Hunt | the hat, belt and shoes: 3G a step |
| Lucky earring | High & Low (5) | +3% share until the match ends |
| Lucky ring | Treasure Hunt | +5% share until the match ends |
| Lucky bracelet | Wakuwaku Rope | +2% share until the match ends |
| Miracle necklace | High & Low (7) | until the match ends, your shops you pass or stop on +2% |
| Miracle anklet | Treasure Hunt | until the match ends, your shops you pass or stop on +1% |
| Power seed | Treasure Hunt | one shop of your choice +20% (once, there and then) |
| Free ticket | Scratch (tier 2), Wakuwaku Rope, Legacy Race | one toll on someone else's shop or vacant-lot building is free |
| Half-price ticket | Scratch (tier 1), Legacy Race (2nd–3rd) | one toll on someone else's shop or vacant-lot building is halved |
(Wakuwaku Rope's hat, belt, shoes and Free ticket come up under Modern and Legacy alike. Every other "where from" needs that game on Modern.)
5a. The Lucky accessories (shares)
- A share pays you x% of every toll anyone pays at a shop and the like, from the bank — the same thing a Lucky square gives you
- Earrings, rings and bracelets add up, to at most 50% in total
- Time-limited shares, such as the Lucky square or the Tarot's Star, are added on top
5b. The Miracle accessories (shop prices)
- Every time you pass or stop on one of your own shops, its price rises
- Necklaces and anklets add up, to at most 5% per pass or stop
- A gold "+N%" floats up from the square, and a shop whose fee rank changes plays its transformation effect
- If you turn back along the way you came mid-walk, the raises from that stretch are undone too (pacing back and forth raises nothing)
5c. Free tickets and Half-price tickets
- Both are used automatically when you stop on someone else's shop or vacant-lot building (shop lot, tax office, my home, helipad, amusement park, toll gate / inn), one at a time. Passing by does not use one. You cannot choose when
- Holding both, the Free ticket goes first
- A Free ticket cancels the whole payment (no dividends or shares are paid on it). With a Half-price ticket, dividends and shares follow the halved toll
6. Worth knowing
- When in doubt, Default. Modern prizes scale with your level, so casinos stay worth landing on late in the match
- Prefer the old way? Set Casino rules to Legacy. The Style becomes Legacy too (slots on every other visit)
- Under Modern, cashing out of High & Low at 3 or 4 is a real option. The hat and belt pay on every step, so the sooner you have them, the more they earn
- Accessories last until the match ends. A share picked up early grows with a long match
- At a big table, check the 5+ rows. 2 pairs max, the minus caps and the dealer loss cap keep any one player from taking a huge hit (→ "More players, and teams")
- Even with every game off, a casino square is not wasted: stopping there pays level × 10G
- During a match, Data → Rules shows the casino rules you are playing under
